Part-time Finance Manager

£18.00 – £21.00 per hour

Winchester, Hampshire

Our client is a highly esteemed, well-established charity based in central Winchester. Working closely with the Business Director, you will be responsible for financial management of the charity and dealing with day to day finance operations. Duties to include:

  • Working with budget holders to accurately manage budgets, control expenditure and maximise revenue
  • Streamlining and developing procedures and processes to manage the organisation’s financial transactions
  • Providing timely and accurate financial data to the Senior Management team and the Board
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Gift Aid management, ensuring the charity benefits
  • Banking and bank reconciliations
  • Monthly management accounts and annual accounts to trial balance
  • Producing / updating cash flow forecasts
  • Overseeing the payroll function, offering cover if needed

The charity uses Sage, so previous experience of this would be highly beneficial. You will also have strong accounting experience, ideally with a recognised accountancy qualification. Any previous experience of working in charity accounting would be highly desirable, but not essential.

The organisation are hoping for someone who can work 22 hours per week.
