Our client is a well-established firm of Accountants looking for an Accounts Trainee / Apprentice to join their friendly team. You will get the opportunity to study AAT, as well as learn a variety of duties such as:
- Processing sales and purchase invoices
- Processing expenses
- Reconciling bank statements
- Preparing VAT returns
- Maintaining and building client relationships
- Using software such as QuickBooks and Xero
- Excel spreadsheets
- Supplier reconciliation
- Assisting with general office administration
- Opportunity to get involved with a wider range of accounts preparation and tax work for the right candidate
It would be highly beneficial to have studied something relating to accountancy e.g. AAT Level 1 or 2, or have had some exposure to accounting. However, the firm can consider those with strong academic background who can demonstrate a meaningful interest in a career within accountancy. They can give full study support for exams, AAT registration etc.
