Our client is a very well-established local company, and has enjoyed steady growth over recent years. You will be working with a hard working, professional team in a friendly, caring environment. Your duties will be varied, and will include looking after the sales and purchase ledgers; raising of sales invoices, processing purchase orders and making timely supplier payments, and making sales and purchase ledger reconciliations. You will undertake banking and bank reconciliation duties, make CIS payments and submissions (CIS training can be given if needed) and assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns. It would be useful if the successful candidate could assist with some payroll cover – again training can be given on payroll if needed.
The company envisages needing a Bookkeeper to work around 20 – 22 hours per week, and these hours can be worked over 3 or 4 days to suit. Further hours could be offered if a candidate wanted to add on an extra 6-8 hours of general administration work, so do let us know what your preference is.
The company uses Xero software for the accounts, and whilst previous experience of this package is not essential, it will of course be an advantage.
