Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Bookkeeper to look after the day to day finances in the business. Reporting to the Director, you will take responsibility for the sales and purchase ledgers; raising of sales invoices and making timely supplier payments, as well as undertaking a small amount of credit control.
Additional duties will include banking, bank reconciliations, the preparation and submission of timely VAT returns, and the provision of month end management information/accounts. There is a small monthly payroll to be run, but training can be given in this area if the successful candidate doesn’t have previous payroll experience
All accounts and payroll are run on Sage software, and whilst previous Sage experience isn’t essential, those candidates who do have recent Sage experience will have an advantage. Our client envisages needing somebody for around 20/24 hours per week, and can be flexible when these hours are work, and is happy to accommodate school hours for the right candidate.
