£40,000 – £45,000 per annum

Our client is looking to appoint a Finance/Accounts Manager who will also contribute to the overall general running of this professional legal office. Your duties will encompass looking after all aspects of the purchase ledger and the fees ledger; ensuring client invoices are raised on time and with accuracy, as well as ensuring to make regular & timely supplier payments. Performing daily banking functions; including reconciliation for the practice and the client accounts; ensuring all aspects of Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and Regulations are adhered to. Reconciliation of credit card and petty cash accounts, as well as completing month end and year end reconciliations. You will be responsible for the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns, as well as any debt collection requirements, and providing weekly updates to Partners regarding cash flow and budgets.
Other duties will include running the monthly payroll, processing staff expenses and maintaining basic HR records, ans well as assisting with matter such as stationery and facilities, to ensure the overall smooth running of the office.
Whilst previous experience of working in a Firm of Solicitors will be an advantage, this is by no means a pre-requisite, and we would encourage candidates with good all-round experience of running the day to day finances of SME’s to apply.
