A fantastic opportunity to join the Senior Management Team of an established company. Overseeing a friendly team, you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring the day to day financial operations within the company
- Undertaking bank reconciliations and other processes as needed
- Overseeing monthly payroll including arranging payments to staff
- Reviewing financial data and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports, presenting to Directors, Managers and other staff as needed
- Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
- Providing support to the accounts team, covering duties if required
- Assisting the Finance Director with development and implementing improved procedures and processes
- Manage and maintaining company vehicles, maintenance and MOTs
- Occasionally attending client project meetings and providing insight to clients
- Use of Excel spreadsheets and Sage 50 software – potentially helping with implementation of a newer software e.g. Xeroetc
This role would suit someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is happy jumping in where needed, and can be a helpful and approachable leader. The company can consider both those who have studied CIMA / ACCA etc and those who are qualified by experience. Ideally you will have experience leading a small team and be confident undertaking a range of accounts duties.
