A fantastic opportunity for those looking to join a friendly, well-established business in Portsmouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of accounting duties including:
- Preparation of mangement reports to Trial Balance level
- Preparation of subsidiary analysis and working papers
- Posting journals
- Reconciling Balance Sheet Accounts – accruals, prepayments, deferment control, fixed assets, stock, payroll, etc
- Completion of monthly VAT return
- Maintaining Fixed Asset Register in the general ledger system
- Checking and posting Payroll journals, reconciling payroll control accounts and raising payment requisitions
- Creation of new suppliers / customers into ledger system
- Recording credit notes issued to customers
- Providing cover for Finance Assistants as needed
The company are ideally looking for someone to work full-time. It would be highly beneficial to have AAT Level 4 or similar qualification, however they can consider those qualified by experience. Previous experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be beneficial but not essential as training can be given.
