Full job description
Our client is looking to appoint and experienced Finance Director who can take full ownership and accountability for the financial function of the business. This is a hands-on senior role within a growing construction company. The position requires someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and undertaking the day-to-day accounting, while also providing strategic financial direction to the business.
Working for this small, fast paced team you will need to be:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified
- Significant experience at Finance Director or Financial Controller level
- Strong experience within the construction industry
- Excellent technical accounting and financial control knowledge
- A proven hands on approach
- Support the company’s growth
Responsibilities;
- Manage the day-to-day finance operation
- Produce monthly management accounts
- Manage year-end accounting
- Monitor the companies overall financial performance
- Cashflow and financial control
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Work closely with the Managing Directors
- Improve processes to make the finance function as efficient as possible
- Ensure the business remains compliant with relevant accounting and tax requirements
- Advising on any areas of sales or marketing
