Our client is a well-established firm of Accountants near central Southampton. They are seeking two highly motivated Accounts Trainees to join their team. A fantastic step in your career if you’re looking to become a qualified Accountant in practice, you will have opportunity to work with Senior Accountants, learning and undertaking a range of duties including:
- Client bookkeeping
- Banking and bank reconciliations
- VAT returns
- CIS returns
- Assisting with year end accounts preparation for a varied portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Liaising with clients and answering queries as needed.
It would be highly desirable if you have any previous experience working within a firm of Accountants, however the firm can consider those from industry or who have undertaken some meaningful accountancy study such as AAT. The firm are happy to provide study support for the right person.
You must have good Excel skills, and a knowledge of Xero would be beneficial, but not essential.
