Bookkeeper

£27,000 – £30,000 per annum

Our client is a friendly, well-established firm of Accountants, seeking a Client Bookkeeper to join their team. You will be responsible for a varied range of duties including:

  • Bookkeeping for a varied client base in a diverse range of industries
  • Accounts for a housing association, including rents and service charge accounts, managing tenant arrears, managing direct debits due, collection of housing benefit, etc
  • Sales and purchase ledger
  • Bank and credit card reconciliation
  • Credit control
  • Submission of VAT and CIS returns
  • Making supplier payments
  • Reconciling control accounts
  • Preparation of management accounts

Any experience working with property / service charge accounts would be beneficial, but not essential. Ideally you will have previous experience using Xero and/or Sage software. Any previous experience working in a firm of Accountants would be highly desirable, however training can be given.
