Assistant Accountant

£28,000 – £30,000 per annum

We’re currently working on the behalf of a friendly, dynamic company seeking a new Assistant Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties including:

  • Daily bookkeeping using Xero
  • Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments
  • Managing the creditor and debtor ledgers
  • Checking and reconciling company bank statements
  • Posting of all supplier invoices ensuring correct cost centres
  • Reconciling care client’s expenditure
  • Weekly reconciliation of timesheets hours to care hours provided and agency invoices
  • Monthly payroll preparation and processing
  • Dealing with finance queries as they arise
  • Ensuring that financial procedures are adhered to throughout the company
  • Working closely alongside and taking direction from the Financial Controller

The company would love a motivated, self-starter who is looking for a role with room to grow further with the company. Ideally you will have studied AAT Level 4 or similar, however they can be flexible regarding this. Previous experience using Xero would be highly beneficial. The company can consider those looking at 4 or 5 days a week.
