We’re working on the behalf of a growing, friendly Accountancy Practice who are looking for a Semi-Senior or Senior Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparation and submission of year end accounts & tax returns to a varied client portfolio, including Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
- Communication with clients via phone, email, meetings etc, answering client queries
- Advising clients on tax position, optimising and planning tax efficiency
- Review client cashflow, budgets, pricing, training etc as needed
- Reviewing bookkeeping, VAT, CIS, as needed, assisting junior members of staff as needed
- Liaising with HMRC to resolve queries and issues
- Managing professional development and undertaking CPD as required
You must have at least 2 year’s previous experience working within an accountancy practice to be considered for this role. At the more Senior level, candidates will be expected to have circa 5+ years’ of experience. You will need to have full membership to a chartered body, such as AAT, ATT, ACCA, etc. Experience using Xero, Dext, Quickbooks would be beneficial.
The company is looking for someone to work full-time, 36.5 hours per week. 1 day per week working from home is available.
